$47,995 on April 9, 2015. There's not much better in the world then being behind the wheel of a big block 'Vette. This 1969 Chevrolet Corvette packs an original L36 427 C.I. V8, a host of new hardware to keep it running reliably, and handles like a champ. Fresh off a complete restoration, this C3 has a lot going for it. Let's take a closer look. Daytona Yellow is nearly as iconic as the Corvette itself, and thankfully this Corvette is still covered in the factory correct yellow. The paint that graces this Corvette's fiberglass has been sprayed professionally and is devoid of any concerning flaws. The doors and big block hood shut with confidence to body gaps that appear quite even. Any big block Vette needs the proper regalia to display its prominence and this one has the correct Stingray badges on the fenders, cross flag emblems where they should be, and '427' callouts on the muscular hood. Trim and chrome look good and pair up well with the clean, 15'' rally wheels. This is certainly a Stingray that will stand out from the crowd. Take a seat in the black vinyl buckets and enjoy your surroundings in this fully restored interior. In front of you is the three spoke steering wheel with the famous Corvette logo resting in an all black dash. The instrument panel features an original style large round speedometer and tachometer with the auxiliary gauges clustered in the center. The center console is brand new and houses the floor shifter and the AM/FM stereo which has been updated with iPod capability. While there is no glove box on the passenger side there are map pockets to store anything needed, and the spacious storage compartments behind the front seats are perfect for storing your necessities for that weekend trip. With updated door panels, new plush carpet, and the now standard headrests, this is one car that you will be comfortable cruising in. Now lets get down to business, tilt the hood forward and you'll reveal the numbers matching L36 427 cubic inch V8 that looks absolutely fresh from the factory. Everything appears correct, including the chrome valve covers and stickers on the chrome air cleaner. It's a clean engine bay that you'll be proud to show off, down to new hoses and canisters. The 390 horsepower this big block makes is sent a solid Muncie 4-speed manual transmission. Thanks to the complete restoration, nearly everything underneath is new or updated. Combine that with power steering and four-wheel power disc brakes and you'll be itching to put more miles on the Mastercraft Avenger G/Ts. There you have it, a fully sorted big block Corvette that is ready to drive today. C3 Corvettes are quickly growing in popularity with the masses, so it's no surprise that one this slick, with 427 power, and covered in an iconic paint color has caught a lot of attention. Color codes from the trim plate. Built date is M15. 81,916 miles from the odometer.$49,995. February 27, 2015. |
